Patient Participation Group

The Orchard Medical Practice has recently formed a Patient Participation Group (PPG).  The objective of a PPG is to:

  • Enhance communication between Patients and the Practice.
  • Promote Health Education and Awareness to ensure the Practice continues to offer excellent Patient care and service provisions.
  • Discuss suggestions and complaints and look at ways of implementing any changes to improve patient care to avoid re-occurance of events which initiate a complaint.
  • Discuss any other issues to considered to be appropriate which would be beneficial to the Practice population and the Practice.

The PPG will provide a structure that obtains the views of Patients to have a say in local health issues and service provisions.  This will enable the Practice to obtain feedback and ideas from a cross section of Practice population.  The PPG should consist of a comprehensive representative group of patients from varying ages, sex and ethnic backgrounds.
